THE Boyne Fishermen's Rescue and Recovery Service (BFRRS) have been taking part in a search in Limerick for a woman who has been missing for a number of days.
When the search team from Drogheda reached the River Shannon in Limerick on Thursday, February 26th, they were told that a young man was also missing.
The crew commenced a search of the river, which involved deploying divers and dragging of the river at various points but to date nothing has been found.
The search is ongoing and will continue.
On Thursday, March 5th, the team received a request for assistance from gardaí in Navan to help in the search for 53year-old Margaret Mawhinney, who has been missing from her home at Trim Road since last Tuesday.
The team began a search of the Boyne at Navan on Friday morning, and continued throughout the weekend.
Meanwhile, the organisation will hold their annual church gate collection at all local churches on Monday (vigil Mass) and Tuesday, March 16th and 17th, and the public's support would be greatly appreciated.
