Over the centuries the Boyne Fishermen have rescued and recovered people from the Boyne River. Through turbulent times in history The Boyne Fishermen have remained constant. They have stood together through thick and thin and have emerged through to modern times as The Boyne Fishermen’s Rescue, Recovery and Garda Coastwatch.

Many people have asked us how we started in nationwide search and recovery. Many years ago we answered a call from a family looking for their missing son. This was the first search we undertook outside our own area. After a long search we recovered their loved one, this search was a turning point for us. We felt that we could not and would not refuse a call for help from anywhere in Ireland. We will always do everything within our power to recover a loved one. We have been on recovery missions both North and South of the border.
